Dr. Lawson,
My physical health has been so greatly improved with the computer glasses you recommended for me. While skeptical at first I think I had simply gotten used to so much head movement to try to see my computer screen out of my progressive lenses and I didn't want to "bother" with a second pair of glasses "just" for computer use. Since I am a university professor who grades a lot of papers on line I decided to try your recommendation.
Now that I tried a second pair of "just" computer glasses I am so thankful I did. My neck pain and eye strain are gone. Before my computer glasses my eye muscles would "spasm" at the end of the day after reading so much on the computer.
I really appreciate the way that you get to know your patients. I had Kaiser insurance before I worked for PSU and found that the eye care there was very much "generic"-- here's your prescription with no understanding of each patient's specific needs. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know my own needs and to help me with this health problem..

The new staff and optometrists are friendly and helpful. THe office was just remodeled and it looks great. They have a large inventory of frames from Oliver Peoples, Barton Perreira, Dita, Pro Design, and many more. I like the convenient downtown location.

| Got more information than I was expecting along with a very helpful consultation on look, feel, fit and function. I learned a lot and since I'd never had such helpful assistance during an eyeglass consultation, I decided to give Golden Optical my business. Honestly, I was just browsing. A friend was shopping and I didn't really *need* new glasses, but I felt better about the fit and look of the glasses that Jessica helped me find than any I had seen before. |

Thank you Dr. Schmidt. My exam was very thorough and you explained everything well. The gentleman and lady at the front desk were also very helpful but respectful that I like to shop for glasses on my own. No pressure to buy. I will continue to come to Golden for my eye exams and suggest other people do too.

I continue to be extremely pleased with Golden Optical and have been going there for 7 years. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and always friendly. The exam was thorough in all respects and the retinal scan photography comparison to last year's scan was superb and well worth to cost.

The office folks and doctor (Schmitt) were ready for me, remembered information from my previous visit, AND - amazing- someone helped me choose my glasses frames! Had all the time in the world to talk about what would make me look fabulous.... Also appreciated that same person was cost conscious and made sure I knew the relevant costs to the frames I was evaluating.

I had an extremely positive experience at Golden Optical. I typically visit the cheap-o "get your glasses in an hour" places but decided that since i am getting older i need to make sure my lenses are accurate and of good quality. I was also working within a tight budget and needing to maximize my eye insurance benefit. Not only were they professional, they knew their stuff in terms of what frame shape would look best and what frame shape would work best for my kind of prescription. They were able to take care of me quickly, I did not waste a ton of time trying on a million frames. All in all I am very impresses and have not even got my glasses yet. Definitely worth the step up from the fast - food type eyeglass places.

I've been impressed for some years at the quality of help I've gotten in choosing frames for my prescription glasses and sunglasses, but this past week, I became a lifelong fan. I have always gone to an opthalmologist at a different place for glaucoma check and lens prescription, and then have the glasses made at Golden Optical. This time, my new sunglasses just did not work. I took them back to Golden Optical. Their optometrist checked the prescription and realized there were major errors in it. Incredibly, Golden Optical is replacing the lenses even though the problem was not caused by them, but by someone else entirely! I will go to Golden Optical's optomietrist for my lens prescriptions from here on, and I recommend them to everyone.

Golden Optical cares about the quality of the exam and frames. I have had many troubles elsewhere getting the right prescriptions and finding limited frame selection. My husband and I are both extremely pleased with the service and selection!

I went to the store seeking information about Rudy Project sunglasses. Natalie was very knowledgeable and helpful, and went out of her way with some specific details. I would definitely recommend talking with her if you are interested in those sunglasses.

Fun and courteous staff! Didn't need to wait very long. The office has state of the art equipment. From the exam to benefits and payment the appointment was smooth. The doctor mentioned ahead of time that certain procedures were not covered fully by my insurance so I could opt out if I chose. I've been going to Golden Optical for years and I have always had a great experience.

Enjoyed the first visit with Dr. Schmitt. I felt the exam was thorough starting with the assistant and I appreciated Dr. Schmitt's thorough explanations. Everyone was friendly and that was important also. I didn't know how this was going to go after many years with Dr. Nelson, but I'm good to stay with Golden Optical.

While in Portland on a business trip from King of Prussia, PA I developed what I considered to be a serious eye infection. Dr Schmidt agreed to work me in between patients for an evaluation, and if necessary, treatment. As it turned out I did have an infection in my left eye which did require medical attention. The medical examination was complete, professional and with a thorough explanation. I was prescribed medication and the office staff completed all the required administration for Medicare and additional insurance compensation completed with no cost to me. I send my most sincere thanks to Dr Schmidt and his associates for great care in the time of need. This service is most deserving of commendation.

Appointment started on time, everything went smoothly, all procedures were explained cheerfully and with humor. I had been in a couple of weeks before and ordered frames so Dave spent time making sure they fit correctly and were straight on my face (darn that higher ear!)

I think I would have been a hassle client to most Optometry services. I had an insurance-like policy that took many calls and research to resolve, and they took that on with excellent willingness, follow through and patience. I had to change my initial appointment and they accomodated me right away. During the exam, they found I had developed a separate condition that I was totally unaware of; they alerted me right away and set me up with a specialist. Good selection, everything great. Thanks.

My first visit to Golden Optical and my vision insurance was screwed up, so the staff at GO went above and beyond to help straighten it out. Plus, there was no waiting once I checked in for my appt and the staff could not be nicer and more helpful. They will be my optometrists from now on.

They had the latest trends as well as the most helpful staff I've encountered. I am a frequent eye wear purchaser( I own 5 pairs of glasses) and the experience at Golden Optical was in my opinion, exceptional.
